With all the hot weather around, this Pimm’s drink recipe will definitely keep you cool this Christmas! INGREDIENTS Highball glass 50ml PIMM’S No.1 150ml of Lemonade Mint, orange, strawberries Cucumber to garnish and ice Pile all the ingredients in a tall glass, mix and sip. Over the last few months we have been busy working with a local council and the Department of Environment on some important archival projects. A Letter from The King The City of Mitcham Historical Department had come into possession of some very old and important photos and documents from the early 1900s. The material was in quite good condition although very fragile, and we only had a short amount of time to digitise everything while it was on a generous short-term loan from the owner. Over the last month we have been working closely with both the Burnside Historical Society and the Port Adelaide Enfield Library to digitise sections of their Local History Collections. BHS have recently been interviewing residents of the local area who were asked about their memories of growing up and living in Burnside in the 1950s-1970s. They touch on topics such as housing, education, fashion, work and entertainment amongst other things, with plenty of interesting and sometimes amusing stories along the way!
